Happy Holidays, everyone! We have been madly catching up on Christmas present wrapping tonight. We are about 95% done...I might have a couple more to wrap. Why do I always procrastinate?
December has been BUSY for us. My MIL stayed with us for 3 weeks and left on the 18th; during that time, one of our best friends from Chicago and his 4-year-old son visited us for the weekend. Dylan (the 4-year-old friend) and Zoe have hit off so well since the beginning despite seeing each other only once or twice yearly. They had the best time together, and we were so happy to witness their friendship grow.
Tomorrow, my family is coming into town! I'm so excited to have them spend Christmas/Zaylee's 1st birthday/New Year's with us. We have a really exciting week coming up, and I am thrilled to have them be part of it. I spent this week changing out all the bedding, and getting the rooms cleaned up for their arrival...a little challenging I must say while keeping the two girls entertained.
Anyway, the highlight of this post is to share our annual family photos! My dear friend/former coworker/amazing dog photographer from St. Louis has taken our photos every year since 2015. Despite our move to TX two years ago, she still graciously travels here to hang out and document us. What a gift that she brings to our family! I am so blessed and grateful.
Sherry (follow her on Instagram) took hundreds of pictures, but here are the final 20 we selected. I'll admit, it is a bit of production (a fast-crawling baby definitely adds more to the drama) to wrangle all of them to look at the camera at the same time, but the final product is so worth it, especially since most of our family photos are selfies of some sort. These photos were taken at Katherine Rose Memorial Park in Mansfield, TX.

Thank you, Sherry, for your gift of photography to us! Lilly and Stark, Zozo and ZayZay love you!
