I wanted to share with those who need this reminder, as well as with myself. Let me tell you - there are days when my mental health tanks and it changes me as a person. One of those days was two days ago. I had an awful migraine towards the end of the day that resulted in me being completely out of commission that entire night. I felt miserable - the physical and mental pain was so real. I am better now, but I am also listening to my body more and taking care of myself better. If you are one of those people like me who are trying to do your best in every facet of your life, please give yourself a break. The world we live in right now is not normal and traumatic for many. I don't know what I was trying to prove myself, but two days ago my body told me that it had "enough."
So please be kind to yourself. If you are not good at it, try harder. If others are not giving you the grace to survive, make them. Take care of yourself...literally.
