Taking professional photos once a year is one of the longest traditions we had in our little family since 2014. Most of our photos are selfie mode because we are too shy to ask a stranger to take a photo of us (LOL), so this is the one time that we get to have someone to capture our forever memories. That someone has been my dear friend, Sherry, who traveled to see us three weeks from my last post. Except for last year, it was Sherry who always took these photos of us, and I am always grateful for her generous time and talent. Sherry specializes in dog photography, which is how we initially developed a friendship (besides working together at the same university at the time). She used to take all the photos for Lilly and Stark, the OG members of the family, before Zoe came along. She is now stuck with us as our family photographer...haha. Sherry, thank you for your talent, friendship, and being a great auntie to my three children!
TX weather is bizarre so when we took these photos 3 weeks ago, it was (and still is) like spring instead of winter. Thankfully, there were some still colors left in the leaves so we managed to have a more fall-like background. I don't know how, but she managed to take 800 photos and narrowed them down to about 150 photos for me to choose from. This does not do well for my indecisive tendencies, but I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from that morning.
