Family is starting to arrive, fridges are getting packed, and our house is fuller! Sheng and Alice (Z's second brother and his wife) arrived two days ago, and my family is en route. By the end of the day, we will have 7 adults and 2 kids. Our girls are definitely excited to see family they don't see often and are eager to open their presents under the tree (but first, we have to finish wrapping).
As usual, Sherry, a dear photographer friend/old co-worker of mine, traveled to TX last month for our annual family photos. By heart, she is a dog photographer, but she has truly become our family photographer since 2016 capturing our growing family. With our dogs (the OG children) also getting older, she took the time to give us some updated looks of us together.
Anyone with kids might already know that picture-taking is a lot more chaotic and emotional than what appears on the final product. It was no different for us - 10 minutes into it, the girls were already bored with getting their pictures taken and became increasingly uncooperative. But I don't regret the whining and frustration we go through to get these pictures. Maybe one day, the girls will appreciate these like I do.
