Last Tuesday, on January 8th, we found out Baby B’s gender at our 19-week appointment! Unfortunately, Z was not able to be there for the anatomy scan (thanks, residency schedule) so I asked the ultrasound technician to keep the gender secret until we had a chance to find out together. It turned out that Z had a 15-20 minute window right after the appointment was over so he rushed over the hospital where I was at to see me. We were both starving so we met up at a Qdoba across the street and decided to do a quick reveal for ourselves then (and recorded for our families to see) before gobbling up our lunch and heading back to our respective workplace.
Our quick decision to find out at Qdoba was a good call in the end because Z left for the hospital as soon as he arrived home that night (he was on call that night); otherwise, we would have had to wait until the next day and I’m not sure if I could have been patient for that long.
We are so thrilled!
