These last two days have put me on major food coma at work…perks of working at a university.
Yesterday, the school I work for hosted the annual Thanksgiving feast for its employees and students, which the line built up very quickly promptly 15 minutes before the start of serving. We live for free food as you can see.
Today, me and my coworkers surprised our boss with potluck lunch in celebration of my boss’ forthcoming baby arrival. Him and his wife are expecting their first baby, a boy. He’ll be on a leave for a couple of months to prepare for the arrival of his baby as well as the care once he arrives.
I always feel fortunate to have a job I enjoy, surrounded by supportive coworkers, and an employer that appreciates and allows celebration of these occasions.
